One clean year, ready to hand over.

A full twelve months built, reconciled, and closed in a single engagement, so your year-end package is finished before anyone asks for it.

What an annual bookkeeping engagement produces

Annual bookkeeping takes a year of activity and turns it into a closed set of books. For some clients that means maintaining a file they barely touch. For others it means building the year from bank and card history because nothing was recorded at the time.

The deliverable is the same either way: a reconciled trial balance, a profit and loss and balance sheet for the year, and a file your tax preparer can work from without sending questions back.

  • Twelve months coded from source

Every transaction categorized from bank, card, and loan history, with supporting documents matched where they exist.

  • All accounts reconciled to December

Closing balances agreed to the final statement of the year, including loans, lines of credit, and merchant accounts.

  • Balance sheet actually proved out

Fixed assets, loan principal, owner equity, and any payroll liabilities checked rather than left as whatever the software carried forward.

  • Year-end package handed over

Statements, trial balance, and a general ledger export, plus a short summary of assumptions we had to make and why.

When once a year is genuinely enough

Annual works for entities where almost nothing happens between year ends, and where nobody needs a number in the meantime.

Holding and single-asset entities

A company that owns one property or one investment, with a handful of transactions a year and no operating activity to track.

Dormant or wind-down companies

An entity kept open for a specific reason. It still needs a clean annual position, but not a monthly cycle.

Very small side operations

A business with one income stream, one card, and no payroll, where the owner simply needs the year finished properly.

How we build a year

  • 1

    You send the year

Bank and card statements, loan documents, any invoices or receipts you kept, and access to whatever software has been used.

  • 2

    We reconstruct and reconcile

The full twelve months are coded, and every account is tied out to the closing statement. Gaps are listed rather than filled with guesses.

  • 3

    You answer the open items

One list covering anything we could not identify from the records, usually transfers, owner spending, and large one-off payments.

  • 4

The year is closed and issued

Statements and ledger delivered, the period locked, and the file left in a state your tax preparer can pick up directly.

Year-end work across Texas and California clients

Annual files come to us from around Cedar Park, TX and the wider Austin, TX metro, and from San Diego County clients who hold Texas or California entities. Because the work is document-driven rather than location-driven, the process is identical wherever you are. If a year turns out to be far messier than expected once we open it, we stop and tell you before continuing rather than quietly expanding the job.

What owners want to know about an annual close

  • How far back can you go?

As far as the bank records reach. Most institutions hold seven years online, and older periods can usually be reconstructed from paper statements if you have them.

  • Is this the same as catch-up bookkeeping?

It overlaps. Annual bookkeeping is an ongoing arrangement for a low-activity entity. Catch-up and cleanup is a one-time rescue for a business that fell behind and needs to get back to current.

  • Will my tax preparer accept the file?

That is the point of the deliverable. They receive a reconciled trial balance and a general ledger rather than a spreadsheet, which is what usually saves the most time and cost at their end.

  • What if my entity had almost no activity?

Then the engagement is small and priced accordingly. We would rather tell you the file is light than build a service around work that is not there.
