Meet Tim Irwin

Tim Irwin has spent more than twenty years in finance and accounting. He earned an International Business degree from Aston University in the United Kingdom, became a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and worked inside large multinational banks and at two of the Big Four consulting firms, helping companies large and small tighten their processes and find room to grow.

He started Next Step Business Solutions to bring that same discipline to businesses that rarely get it. Having worked in large multinational institutions with regulatory requirements and controls which needed to be met, small businesses now get access to that same discipline and skill set. Despite it being on a smaller scale, the methodology remains the same. That is the gap this business closes for clients: an accurate picture, explained plainly, kept current.

The work usually starts the same way. An owner has fallen behind on the books, or never really kept them, and has reached the point of knowing they need help. Tim begins by understanding the business model and how money actually flows through it, then addresses the pain points one by one. Clients tell him the same thing when it is done: thank you for being upfront, honest, and delivering quality work on time.
